As a roofing technician at Bernard & Sons Roofing, my day starts bright and early. By 6:30 AM, I’m already up and preparing for a busy day of residential roofing projects across the Lehigh Valley. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I’m out the door, ready to tackle whatever challenges the day may bring.

Our first job of the day takes us to Wind Gap, where we’re scheduled for a local roof repair. The homeowner reported some leaks after the last storm, so we’re here to assess the damage and make the necessary fixes. As we arrive, I can already spot a few missing shingles – a telltale sign of wind damage.

Tasks for the Wind Gap job:

• Inspect the roof for additional damage
• Replace missing and damaged shingles
• Check and repair flashing around chimneys and vents
• Ensure proper drainage to prevent future leaks

Midday: New Roof Installation in Saylorsburg, PA

After wrapping up in Wind Gap, we head to Saylorsburg for a new roof installation. This is a bigger project that will likely take us into the afternoon. The homeowners have chosen a beautiful architectural shingle that will really enhance their home’s curb appeal.

Afternoon: Quick Stop in Easton, PA

On our way back to the office, we receive a call about a small emergency repair needed in Easton. A tree branch has fallen on a roof, causing some minor damage. We’re able to quickly assess and repair the issue, showcasing the importance of our prompt and reliable service.

End of Day: Wrapping Up at the Office

As the sun begins to set, we make our way back to the Bernard & Sons Roofing office in Bethlehem. Here, we debrief on the day’s projects, file necessary paperwork, and prepare for tomorrow’s schedule.
