Early Morning Preparations

The day starts early at Jim’s Heating & Cooling, usually before the sun rises over the Boise foothills. By 6:30 AM, I’m already at our shop, reviewing the day’s service calls and loading up my van with the essential tools and parts.

First Service Call

Today’s first stop is in Meridian, where a homeowner reported their furnace making unusual noises. These early morning calls are crucial during Idaho’s chilly seasons, and we pride ourselves on prompt response times.

Daily Tasks Include:

• System diagnostics and repairs
• Preventive maintenance checks
• Filter replacements
• Thermostat programming
• Air quality assessments

Afternoon Challenges

The afternoon brings an emergency call from Eagle – a complete AC shutdown during a hot day. This is where our extensive training pays off, as we need to work efficiently to restore comfort to the customer’s home.

Customer Education

One of the most rewarding parts of working at Jim’s Heating & Cooling is educating homeowners about their HVAC systems. We take time to explain maintenance procedures and offer energy-saving tips that can help reduce utility bills.

End of Day

As the sun sets over the Treasure Valley, I complete my final service call in downtown Boise. Before heading home, I ensure my van is restocked and ready for tomorrow’s challenges, knowing that each day brings new opportunities to serve our community’s comfort needs.
